The CBR Brave will kick off the 2020 AIHL Season at the Brave Cave, with a home opener against the Sydney Ice Dogs on Saturday, April 18th.
The season opener will be a rare home fixture for the first half of the season, with the Brave to play just 2 of their opening 9 games at the Brave Cave. Having been handed a similar schedule to the start of last season, the CBR Brave will go into 2020 confident of handling the demands, following a record-breaking home and away season that yielded just 3 losses during the regular season.
CEO, Dan Amodio expects that despite the difficult start, the club is optimistic of returning to the finals scene once again.
“It will be a tough start to the season, with the travel, away demands and adapting to the new coach, but we’ve got a great core squad that has stuck around over the past few years. There is a sense of unfinished business from last season, so no doubt that the boys are fired up and ready for a big 2020.” Amodio said.
The CBR Brave will have the benefit of hosting 7 of their final 10 regular season games at the Brave Cave, another similar trait shared with their run to the finals in 2019.
“If we can get through the first half with some decent results, we’ve got a great stretch of home games in the last half of the season that gives us a real opportunity to set ourselves up nicely for a run home to the finals.”
CBR Brave Memberships and Ticket Sales for the 2020 AIHL Season will be on sale soon.
