Current home
The Phillip Ice Skating Centre has been the home barn for the Caribou CBR Brave since the team’s inception in 2014.
Colloquially known as the ‘Brave Cave’, the rink was opened in October 1980 and is located in Phillip, the heart of Woden Valley, in south-central Canberra.
The venue has a capacity of approximately 1,000 people (seating and standing). Seating is in the form of concrete benches on the left-hand side of the rink as you enter. On the right-hand side, there is sponsor seating and the team benches.
The ice surface is small compared to an NHL or Olympic sized sheet, measuring 55 metres by 25 metres. There is no plexi-glass surrounding the rink, with nets and wires used instead to protect spectators.
The Brave Cave facilities include: a kiosk/canteen; bar (on the mezzanine level); public and disables toilets; outdoor carparking, including disabled parking; kerb-side pick-up and set-down with ramp into the venue and first aid equipment.
Address: 1 Irving Street, Phillip, ACT, 2606
On game days
Seating arrangements for Brave home games see the public seating area split into five bays, with rink-side standing at either end of the rink. Doors open around 30 minutes prior to puck-down, with fans lining up outside for ticket scanning prior to entry.
Note: Lines are split with a general ticket line on the right and a members-only line on the left. Lines get long so please arrive early if you want a seat.
Pre-game drinks and a feed is available across the road from the rink at Belluci's Woden. Belluci's offers Brave fans a casual and warm atmosphere to enjoy a local craft beer, Italian wine or house made pizza. No need to book pre-game:

Future home
The project to build a new home for ice sports in Canberra and the Caribou CBR Brave is currently underway. In the pre-construction planning and development phase, the future home of the Brave will be located at Greenway, Tuggeranong in Canberra’s south.
The brand-new facility, currently known as the Canberra Arena, will have twin sheets (two ice rinks), one with a seating capacity of 3,600 people, a dedicated curling sheet (Australia’s very first), an international grade rock-climbing centre, a restaurant/café and bar/pub.
The Canberra Arena is scheduled to open its doors in 2025.
